Free Software Games Written by Robert Wayne Atkins, P.E.

The software games illustrated above and listed below were written from 1988 to 1992.

During the year 2006 I updated all of my software games and listed them below so you could download the games for free. My games can now be played using Windows 98, or Windows 2000, or Windows XP.

My games have always included hints which can be accessed from within the game to help the player complete the game. However, over the years I have received thousands of letters and phone calls from people all over the world who needed an additional "hint" to complete one of my games. When I updated each of my games in the year 2006 I included the most frequently requested "hints" with the lastest release of the game.

If you have an older version of one of my software games and you need a "hint" to finish the game, then you may send me an email at the link at the bottom of this page and I will reply with the information you require. There is no charge for this help. But please specify the name of the game and where you are stuck in the game.

Information about DOSBOX

Some of you may have a collection of "really old games" that will no longer work with the new versions of "Windows" software. There is a program called "DOSBOX" which is available as a FREE download at the following web site and it will allow you to play many of your older games using your current version of Windows. Instructions on how to load and use the DOSBOX software are also available at the following link. I have installed DOSBOX on two of my laptop computers and I have had good results with it. I use Windows 98 on my older laptop but I use Windows XP on my new laptop. DOSBOX works well under both of these systems and it allows me to play a variety of my "really old games." However, some of my older games play better using Windows 98 and some play better using Windows XP. It really depends on the game itself.

Please note that the games I wrote and which appear below do NOT require DOSBOX to work. My games can be played in Windows 98, Windows 2000, and Windows XP without the need to install DOSBOX. I have added the above link to DOSBOX in the event that you have some other old games that will NOT work under your current version of Windows.
